CWA Envoy Agents Return to the Bargaining Table for a New Contract

Last month, the CWA Envoy Bargaining Committee met with Envoy Airlines to continue negotiations for a fair contract for passenger service and ramp workers. There was record heat outside the bargaining room, but inside, the response from the company could not have been frostier. While the bargaining committee has made significant progress on non-economic issues, reaching tentative agreements on articles including probation, reductions in force, and no strike-no lockout clauses, the company gave negotiators the cold shoulder when it came to discussing wages. Bargaining is a process. The bargaining team will continue to show up, do the work, and keep members’ needs at the center of the conversation. Members are encouraged to continue mobilizing to demand a fair contract.

Bargaining for a new contract began in November. Under the Railway Labor Act, which governs labor contracts in the airline industry, contracts do not expire but become amendable. You can sign up to receive bargaining updates on the Envoy Agents website.
